Old Delhi - Day 3

November 12, 2015

From the Jama Masjid mosque we left our bus and headed off on rickshaws to explore the old city. Fun street scenes with less traffic than normal due to the late night Diwali celebrations, we stopped several times for Tara's specially picked food shops. Also visited was a Jain temple, another mosque and the haveli of Mirza Ghalib, a famous Indian poet. We also visited the spice market with spectacular views from the top of the building.

First food stop: trying jalebis, think extra tasty funnel cakes or donuts.

Second food stop: paranthas

Food stop three: they didn't have what Tara wanted so we ended up with this other delicious item.

Dinner at Karim's. It grew from just a kitchen in an alley to 4 different seating areas in the surrounding buildings. Once again the food was amazing, but don't take my word for it.
